Posted on 25. Nov, 2009 by Abe in News
UCIPD officers maced students as they tried to enter Aldrich Hall (Administration Building) on Tuesday, Nov. 24. Students and workers gathered outside to demand a conference with Chancellor Michael Drake and to protest 32% tuition hikes and U.C. employee layoffs.
John Bruning, a graduate student of the Dept. of Sociology at UCI, was arrested by UCIPD on the same day. A written account of his encounter with police is available here.
